LaToya AllenVocational Rehabilitation
LaToya is a Fort Wayne resident and a graduate of the University of Saint Francis Rehabilitation Psychology master’s program. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and works for the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) as a Youth Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. LaToya collaborates directly with teachers, counselors, special education directors, principals, and community partners to coordinate transition, pre-ETS, and VR services for qualified students in Adams, Allen, Wells, Whitley, Noble, DeKalb, LaGrange, Steuben, Grant, Wabash, and Huntington counties. LaToya is actively involved in her community and is an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. member. She is also a member of the Anthony Wayne Service Foundation (AWS) Disability Expo Planning Committee, the Association of People Supporting Employment First (ASPE), Work to Include (Fort Wayne), the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE), Great Lakes Inclusive Postsecondary Education Alliance (GLIPSEA), and the Indiana Association on Higher Education and Disability (Indiana AHEAD).
