Maria Gonzales Bowen, Bi-LIngual Resource Specialist
Maria is a single mother, divorced, original from Peru - South America, living in Indiana for more the 22 years. She is bilingual (Spanish-English) and has experience working in diversity customer service for many years working in Housing Community Properties for more the 10 years started how Leasing Agent, Assistant Property Manager and my last position was Complaint Housing Specialist working in leasing and renewals to be admitted, approved to continue in help programs for Low Housing Community Properties.
She has two kids, a teenager girl 17 years old who has been struggling in the last year with depression and anxiety and a 6-year-old boy with Autism High Functioning, both of her kids were born in this wonderful country and they are the most important thing in her life. For that reason, after the beginning of the pandemic and after the diagnostic she began thinking, what can she do to help better her kids? She could relate to feeling alone in this new journey until learning about resources and places to help kids with different specials needs. While in the process to get knowledge and more information how deal with the new experiences and challenges in their lives, she chose to join the INF2F team and help her kids while also providing help to other families with the same struggles.
Maria sees her work as a privilege, not only for the help of information and education of resource she gets through being a member of the team, but also so glad to have the opportunity to share that information so that every child’s family who has specials needs and lives in Indiana can learn that thery have many resources available. She considers it an honor work with you.
